London is a stunning multi-cultural and diverse city where everyone can find something attractive. There are so many things to do and to see, so our Mashbox tried to narrow it and prepared for you the list with 12 reasons why it is actually worth a visit 🙂 Have a look!
1) Red telephone boxes
Wouldn’t it be a cool experience to make a call from it? 🙂
2) 221b Baker Street
Check where Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson lived between 1881-1904, according to the stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
3) The London Eye
Enjoy the view from 135 meters above the ground. Especially stunning at night 😉
4) Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace
Immaculately turned out guards, precision drill and bands playing stirring music get together to create one of the most famous attractions. It doesn’t happen everyday, so check schedule in advance 😉
5) Stand on the world’s historic Prime Meridian
Stand on the historic Prime Meridian of the World at Royal Observatory Greenwich, the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Isn’t that just cool? 🙂
6) Feed hungry squirrels in The Regent’s Park
Besides beautiful nature and squirrels, you can meet here hedgehogs, foxes and bats as well.

7) Visit Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle
Probably, the most famous royal historical places which are definetely worth a visit. The castle has a history over 900 years and Buckingham palace gives a chance to see the rooms which are still regularly used by the Royal Family.
8) Experience underground life in Shoreditch
The most crazy district in London, which offers a variety of hipster attractions worth seeing. Best street art, coffee shops, street food and cosy lofts. 🙂
9) Visit Platform 9 3/4 at King’s Cross
If you are a Harry Potter fan, you definetely wouldn’t miss the possibility to get a little bit closer to the magic world and Hogwarts Express:)
10) The Big Ben
The Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London is for suer a must-see attraction.
11) Historic pubs
Besides enjoying a good beer, you can feel yourself being part of the old times. For example, visit the place where the bohemian were spending time or where Queen Elizabeth I danced once.
12) Drink a cup of famous Earl Grey at 5 o’clock
This tea flavoured with bergamot, which was used to imitate the more expensive types of Chinese tea, has been known in England since at least the 1820s. Just pick a nice place and enjoy it! 🙂
